Happy Thanksgiving! And welcome to the first major family holiday since we made our announcement. All in all the news was old enough not to cause any waves. Though I admit that the absence of a few cynical family members help the situation.
I refuse to name names!
We had a good time visiting with family, and the holiday has become easier now that most kids are old enough to entertain themselves. It was nice to eat some good food (even if they are foods I'm not supposed to have) and talk to fantastic people. When we move it will be difficult to leave such good people behind, so they will just have to come and visit us!
Weird moment for the day: When a family member asked if they could come and visit us and my husband responded "SURE!" in a positive tone while making a face expressing some other less positive emotion.

P.S. I'm thankful for my amazing husband and his family.

The House
We have spent the week working on the house. Trying to fix things up before we put it up on the market.
1. Carpet torn out of the dining room
2. Tact strips & staples, all that non-carpet, carpet junk torn up
3. Trim gone
4. Wallpaper boarder removed (it was so ugly)
5. Holes in the wall were patched
We are planning on painting the living and dining room Chilled Lemonade. It is number 3 in the photo. Lots of work still to do but it has been a productive week.

This Is What Happens
Do you remember the last time that you moved? Do you remember how many boxes you use? Well think long and hard about the mess moving makes and then add to that you are not going to be bringing 99% of it with you.
Question: What is step one to getting rid of 99% of your personal belongings?
Answer: Letting you closets explode all over your office until it is a distraction from homework(and then you find yourself blogging instead of writing your English paper)
This may not look TERRIBLE but I'm a pretty bad neat freak so it is annoying me right now. Here have another.
Why yes! Those are stacks of VHS tapes!
I'm going to go do homework now.

The word has spread
Well I think everyone knows our plans now. The last one we were going to tell was my mom, and she was accidentally informed via a third party. I think this means, no matter what, we have to move. :)

Things have started
We're both really surprised how quickly things move on Amazon. We posted over 300 items on our seller page over the weekend, and orders are rushing in. Our living room looks like a post office right now :). Don't forget to check us out @ www.quest4brisbane.com

Last Hurr-a
The Husband and I are currently driving home from what can be safely considered our last vacation stateside. Our two muts in tow, one enjoying the ride the other whistling every time we get below 50 mph it is a long ride.
We had a wonderful vacation in Nashville, IN. The weather the first couple of days was great and we did a lot of walking and window shopping. Not a lot of shopping as we are trying to save money for the move.
The cabin we rented was nice and secluded though only a few minutes drive from Nashville. After some walking shopping, soaking in the hot tub, good food and time with our stinkys (dogs) we are ready to get home and really get the ball rolling on our move.
We are full of fresh items on how to save the money we need for the move so stay tuned to learn more about The Quest for Brisbane!
